Heritage Rail Trail - NCR Trail
Many folks don't know that our beautiful Heritage Rail Trail in York County, PA connects directly with Maryland's NCR Trail for one continuous 43-mile long adventure, beginning in Ashland, MD and ending in York City, PA. The scenery is an amazing mix of the Gunpowder River, farms, woods, Codorus Creek, and quaint small towns, and a great part of downtown York City. Stop at Hanover Junction, the train station where Lincoln stopped on his way to Gettysburg, and ride under the Howard Tunnel, 2nd oldest continually used train tunnel in the country! We have two bike racks, cold water bottle fill-up station, and we love our cyclist guests.
